Watching Mad Max Fury Road
This is a bit of a long rant so sorry all.
Now I’m no film critic but have seen more movies then the average bear and I know I’m in the minority when I say all this…..
Whilst visually it looks stunning this film lacks in almost every other department.
The plot is non existent, the acting is mediocre (not that much was said) so you feel nothing for the characters and the 2 hours it is on for seem so much more.
Tom Hardy as an actor I think can be hit or miss(Legend being a nailed on hit) but he was given nothing to work with here, as for the support there are some truly horrible casting mistakes in this film (Nicolas Hoult and Rosie I’m dreadful in everything whiteley)
Now for a film geek moan….
The frame rate What the hell is with the frame rate? The first hobbit film suffered massively imo because of the 48 frames a second filming, some of this film must have been shot in 50-60 frames a second and there is just no need, it adds nothing to the film in any way.
Sigh!
Could have been so good.
